In August we took our first long road trip in Montana to Yellowstone.
We saw Old Faithful,
and many other geysers.
Grand Geyser really lived up to it's name!
West Yellowstone was a hit with the kids too! Highlights included: baseball and hide-and-seek in the yard at the condo,
yoga,
park time,
yoga,
park time,
and fresh ice cream right from the churner! Delish!
Another BIG highlight was the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center. Dominic loved hiding in a fake wolf's den,
but Sophia (on the eve of her 7th birthday) got to hide food for the grizzly bear's in their actual bear habitat!
The bear in the foreground is Spirit, a female grizzly that was eventually trapped and brought here from Whitefish(!!!) where she was too accustomed to coming to town and eating garbage.
We were surprised by how much FUN we had at the Rodeo!
Sophia and these other unsuspecting children were charged with chasing a calf with a tag on her tail.
(Surprisingly no one got hurt. The picture is from before they actually chased the calf. We were all too shocked at what was happening to pull out a phone and take a video or picture!)
Our ride home was on Sophia's actual birthday, so we surprised her by a birthday carousel ride in Missoula!
What a great trip!!! We love spending time with you, Nama & Pop!
