Sophia knows 3 baby signs: all done, milk, and please. We never should have taught her please because it’s impossible to say no to her. For example:
Nonna: “She was great today. She didn’t let out one peep. But she MAY have eaten that whole container of crackers in her diaper bag.”
Me: “Mom! You know she’s not supposed to eat more than 2 or 3!”
Nonna: “Well! She kept signing ‘please’!!!”
Apparently becoming a grandmother has made my mom forget how to say no.
Although it’s not like we can blame her much. Last night we were getting Sophia ready for bed and I realized that her feet smelled REALLY bad! Yuck! She thought our reaction to the stink was SO funny that she kept sticking her feet in Greg’s face and signing “please”. She wanted him to smell her feet again, and again, and again. We allowed this to continue for about 15 minutes.
