At first, she didn’t know what to think of it and wanted to stay at a safe distance. But after a few days of pointing and naming Snowman’s eyes, nose, mouth, hat, scarf, and buttons, Sophia was in love. So in love, in fact she couldn’t part from it; we now have it at our house on loan. “Aam” as she calls it, is her last word before going to sleep and her first word when she gets up.
It started with a single snowman and has become an obsession. She wants every snowman she sees whether it's stuffed, glass, light-up, on a grocery bag, or a crayon drawing in the bathtub. Nonna even bought her a stuffed one to sleep with. The picture above is (stuffed) Snowman's finely crafted home (thanks to Uncle Daniel's blocks!) -- notice it's even complete with Christmas lights!
