Greg had a 4-day weekend so we crammed in as much as possible:
We biked down Big Mountain (after a leisure ride to the top on the ski lift!),
we went on a ranger-guided boat and hiking trip from Two Medicine Lake to Upper Two Medicine Lake on the east side of Glacier Park,
enjoyed a picnic lunch and swim at Tally Lake with my friend Leah's family,
and went whitewater rafting trip down the Middle Fork of the Flathead River (Sophia will join us for the float in a few weeks).
The next weekend we took our yearly trip to Logan's Pass at Glacier Park where we saw
millions of ground squirrels,
13 long-horned sheep,
12 mountain goats (including 3 little babies),
3 marmot,
and 2 bears! [One was a grizzly fishing quite far away (thank God!) and the other was a little baby black bear on the side of the road!]
We LOVE this hike and so does Sophia! She did a fantastic job keeping a positive attitude and even kept us singing on the way down with Hi-Ho the Dario classics like "Crossing the Bridge" "and Rocks on the Deck" (for some inexplicable reason).
On Sunday we took Sophia to the top of Big Mountain on the ski lift tram where we enjoyed the nature center, beautiful wildflowers, and gorgeous views.
