Grateful.

Dearest family and friends:

As Christmas Day approaches, we wish to take this opportunity to THANK YOU for all of your thoughts and prayers for our family, especially for Dominic!

Dominic’s spine surgery went beautifully, and he was very well cared for at Seattle Children’s Hospital.  The surgeon was successful in de-tethering his spinal cord. He has no nerve damage and all his little body parts are working!  He was off all pain medication, including Advil and Tylenol, just 6 days out from surgery.  We are SO proud of how he did during the whole process!  Dominic remains our super-sweet, smiley, babbling baby boy (even while hospitalized he charmed all the nurses and doctors!).

We were blessed to have had wonderful family support during the process.  Kim, Kevin, and Maddie came to Seattle for the surgery, and gave Greg and I much-appreciated breaks away from Dominic’s bedside during the toughest 3 days of recovery.  Jim and Ginny came to Whitefish to take great care of Sophia while we were gone for the 8 days, keeping her busy painting a giant ceramic nativity scene and learning to sew!

We continue to feel surrounded, even overwhelmed, by your love, prayers and support. We are truly grateful!

We certainly got all we wanted for Christmas this year! We hope you do, too!

Happy Christmas to all,

Love,

Kristina, Greg, Sophia & Dominic
