The highlight of the trip was making it up to the 100 year old Lake Agnes Tea House. It was a 1,200 foot climb and Greg carried our resident tank all the way up! We were rewarded with biscuits and jam as well as beautiful views!
Us in front of Lake Agnes!
(Here the Tea House is the tiny dot at the base of the mountain in the right-center of this picture.)
We learned the city is GREAT for biking and strolling, GREAT for dessert (beavertails and ice cream), GREAT for Indian food, and not-so-great for beer....but if it was, we'd probably have to move there, so that's ok.
We discovered that cocktails at the Banff Springs Hotel really were the best cocktails in the best setting in the world! (We were even ok with the buy-1-cocktail-for-the-price-of-2.)
We enjoyed our old favorites like Sunshine Mountain where we crossed the Continental Divide
and explored some new places, like Lake Minnewaka and Lake Morraine (smoky day).
