"The seven at the pool is really deep!" That's Sophia, whether we're at the pool, or she just sees a 7, or when her drawings look like a 7...
We have been spending a lot of time at our gym pool lately. And as Sophia is afraid of the actual kid pool (with toys, slides, and fun stuff), we spend our time in the "warm pool" -- the therapy pool -- frankly, I like it better there too! It's been really fun as she has become more comfortable in the pool. She makes up her own games like playing "football" which just means running in the water and jumping to me or Greg and saying "touchdown!" Or pretending she is "Carla Cretoxyrhina" (a shark from the Mesozoic era) -- she is Greg's daughter afterall. : ) Or tasting the water only to immediately spit it out and say "eww! Salty!!!" (it's part salt water).
I snapped a few pictures the other week of Sophia and Greg together. (This one isn’t focused, but it’s my favorite, so I’m posting it anyway.)

Post
warm pool, we bribe Sophia (with cookies or ice cream...whatever it takes!) to take a shower [she completely went off baths post-house-flood]. It has been working relatively well, and she
only screams for a small portion of the shower, but she always is happy by the time the treat is in hand.
