Sophia has been interested in babies lately...she spots them, she laughs at their sounds, says "oh, look at that baby! He's so cute!" ALL the time. So the other night we all looked through her baby book together and told her stories about her baby-hood. She was specifically interested in her "words" before she could talk; we told her all about "fffffff" and "bop" and all the others. Then she told us very confidently, "when I was a baby, I used to say chrysalis-y!" Then she laughed and laughed and laughed.
This has been cracking us up on so many levels. Like, isn't saying "chrysalis-y" way more difficult than just "chrysalis"? Not to mention the fact that I'm pretty sure I learned the word chrysalis at 31 at the same time as she learned it (didn't we always just say cocoon?).
