Well, this was the happiest Sophia EVER was at swim lessons (this picture was taken before her first lesson). Yes, well, the swim lessons were a complete flop. Sophia couldn't get over her anxiety of a) swimming with a non-family-related person; and b) being asked to preform something that was out of her comfort zone (i.e. "swimming in the deep part" or putting her face in).
However, she REALLY enjoys the water and will play for HOURS on end if she is comfortable. So, she and I started swimming together every Monday. We are having a really great time, and she does make progress -- slow as it may be!

And one day last weekend (several weeks into our "mommy-daughter swim lessons") we had a breakthrough! She realized that she could swim by herself on a noodle!!! We had the best time all together!
And here she is practicing floating with her favorite swim partner!
So...in the end....SUCCESS!!!!
