Another Summer in the Flathead

With an infant on board, we felt pretty good about what we were able to do this summer.  As I was looking through pictures, I kept thinking, "oh yeah, and we did that!"

We spent lots of relaxing days at the lake house on Flathead Lake,

we enjoyed dinners with neighbors and friends,

we hiked on Big Mountain (enjoying ice cold Arnold Palmers afterwards!),

we spent many afternoons relaxing at the pool at Meadow Lake,

and enjoyed our time in our very own backyard!

We also got up to Logan Pass for our yearly hike!

[Right after this picture was taken, I realized that Dominic had an enormous blow out, and as I was changing him, a mountain goat came dangerously close to us....and so, therefore, did the tourists and their numerous cameras!  So...if you were up at Logan Pass that day, sorry about the photo bomb in your goat picture!]

We finished the hike, unfortunately, to see the start of one of the many forest fires in Glacier this year that devastated the east side of the park.

We were also able to spend a day out at Holland Lake!  It was a wonderful trip, that definitely exceeded expectations.  We got to hike,

and enjoy chocolate chip cookies afterwards!

Notably absent from these summer adventures were days on the river, but hopefully we will have lots of those next year!
