Chalk Drawings

Sophia loves drawing and coloring with sidewalk chalk. 

Often we spend evenings at our local park drawing Sophia’s favorite pictures.  Our repertoire includes a snowman, Elmo, a peacock, a tiger, a snail, the Keith Haring  baby,

a bee, a rainbow, a strawberry, and Cookie Monster. 

The other night Greg and Sophia were drawing on Grandma Ruth’s beach house patio

 when Greg drew Sophia a tea party that included this delectable looking cupcake.

It turned out that it was too delicious looking.  Sophia normally likes to pretend pick up and sip her tea or eat the cookies.  Well, when we told her to go “eat” her cupcake, she got down on her hands and knees and licked the chalk cupcake.  The surprising part was that she really didn't seem to mind.
