We
are officially retiring Sophia’s first “pair” of squeaky shoes – although
according to her, the shoes really “quack”.
Why
the two different shoes? My friend
Krista gave a pair of silver squeaky shoes to Sophia for her first
birthday. Shortly thereafter (like 1
week) one of the shoes fell off and was lost.
Since we still had one shoe, and since it still squeaked, of course
Sophia insisted on wearing the shoe every day.
So I matched it with a black Christmas shoe and she was perfectly
content. Everywhere we went people
commented about the “interesting look” of the different shoes and also that I
have a “built-in tracking system” for her with the squeak.
Was
it difficult getting her to forget about the squeaky shoes? Don’t worry they were promptly replaced by
new and matching “quack” shoes.
