Glacier Getaway

Since Greg still had a few more days off post-Portland, we decided to extend our vacation a bit by spending a night in Glacier Park at the McDonald Lake Lodge.  Although we did not get much sleep -- it turns out in 1913 they did not make rooms soundproof to the level which Sophia requires -- we really enjoyed having more leisure time around the beautiful Lake McDonald.

(Above Sophia was so proud of herself for her newly found Totem Pole knowledge.  She even memorized the order of the figures and kept repeating them: "wittle baby fwog, eagle, beaw, ...".)

We even enjoyed a beautiful breakfast on the water!

(I took this picture not realizing that I was elongating the boat miles long.)

And we completed the trip with another ride up the Going-to-the-Sun Road!  (We aren't hiking yet because our favorite trail is still closed because of bears.)

I saved this for last -- it just cracks us up.  Sophia's new thing is singing "Hi Ho the Derry-O" to narrate what she is doing or other mundane topics. (I've been trying to catch it on camera for weeks.) Various renditions include "Chocolate on my face" or "Rocks in my shoes"; and here, for your viewing pleasure, is "That looks like fun":
